From the Heart of the Overberg
Spirit Run Distillery was born from a simple belief: that exceptional spirits don’t need to come from a big factory. They need passion, patience, and the right hands.
We are a craft distillery rooted in Stanford, a small and beautiful village in the Overberg region of the Western Cape. Here, surrounded by the Kleinrivier Mountains and the clean air of the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, we craft our spirits the way they were meant to be made — slowly, carefully, and with enormous respect for the process.
What We Make
Our range covers the full spectrum of craft spirits — Gins, Brandies, Rums, Vodkas and Sambucas — each one distilled in small batches and bottled by hand. We offer our full range in both 750ml bottles for those who want to savour, and 50ml minis for those who want to explore.
Every spirit in the Spirit Run range is crafted to stand on its own. No shortcuts, no artificial flavourants, no compromise.
Our Philosophy
Craft distilling is a conversation between the distiller and the ingredients. We listen carefully. We source locally where we can, we experiment constantly, and we only bottle what we’re proud to put our name on.
We believe the best spirits are the ones with a story — and every bottle of Spirit Run has one.
Where to Find Us
We are based in Stanford, Western Cape — a stone’s throw from Hermanus in the heart of the Overberg. Our spirits are available online and through selected stockists across South Africa.
